Portland Trail Blazers: Foreign Market Social Content
In this project, S2 Sports Marketing Partners was brought in to help produce and direct social media content for the NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers’ foreign social media accounts. With global audiences in China, the Philippines, and the Spanish-speaking world, S2 led all production day player coordination, production, and creative execution on behalf of agency partner – the Mailman Group. Across working with each player on the Trail Blazers roster and coaching staff, we created 8 final pieces of content that have accumulated millions of views around the world.

Fall 2022
LeBron XX Shoe Release
China Release Media Content Production
In this project, S2 Sports Marketing Partners was brought in to help produce the creative content assets for usage during the promotion of the release of LeBron’s 20th edition signature shoe in China and the celebration of LeBron’s 20th season in the NBA. China is LeBron James’ and Nike’s second biggest market behind North America. For this project, we lead the following pre-production responsibilities: creative planning, athlete logistical planning, influencer outreach and interview question seeding, production studio selection and creative alignment, budget allocation and contracting. On production day, we also lead creative run-through rehearsal, LeBron’s production briefing and interview, and management of production studio partners.

2022 Beijing Winter Olympics x Nike Activation
Brand Strategy, Planning & Experiential Activation
While working under contract at Nike China, S2 Sports Marketing Partners lead all brand planning, integration, and production of Nike’s offline activations centered around the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. The original plan was to launch a Nike brand-operated Winter sports activity hub in Beijing’s San Li Tun District for local consumers and athletes to share the experience of the Winter Olympics, however the activation was shifted to three separate sports participatory events due to COVID gathering restrictions. Each event was organized by S2 Sports Marketing partners, led by Nike certified trainers and each participant was given a Winter-themed activity bag with sports enablement tools designed by S2 to share with their friends.

Douyin NBA Stars Account Launching
Athlete Marketing & Content Production
While working under contract at MORE体育, S2 Sports Marketing Partners lead all athlete management and execution of launching 10+ individual athlete accounts on China’s number 1 social media platform, 抖音Douyin. This process included understanding Douyin Sports Team’s brand planning and foreign athlete account opening initiatives, securing participation through outreach and commitment from athlete representatives, briefing and production of account opening welcome videos, and daily maintenance and operations of athlete’s social media accounts. Through our partnership with Douyin we welcomed Steve Nash, Kevin Garnett, Luka Doncic, Jimmy Butler, Trae Young, Zach LaVine, RJ Barrett and Jamaal Franklin to the platform.

MORE体育 x Kevin Garnett’s China Tour
While working under contract at MORE体育, S2 Sports Marketing Partners led all Kevin Garnett x MORE体育 pre-player tour preparation including brand marketing and partnership commitment scheduling, visa applications, travel and hotel accommodation planning, security and risk management processes, and cultural immersion activity planning. Joining Kevin Garnett on the tour to Shanghai in March 2019, S2 managed all execution from on the ground directly and in partnership with client management, agency partners, and other brand partner representatives.

Master of the Post: Kevin Garnett
While working under contract at MORE体育, S2 Sports Marketing Partners helped create the creative concept for the show, managed communication outreach to secure the participation of two Chinese NBA-Hopefuls Zhou Qi & Abdusalam Abdurixit, and lead all production day athlete logistics and production management. Both players play for the Chinese National Team and were participating in the 2019 NBA’s Summer League.
